Case Study

Enhancing Software Development Efficiency with
Dedicated Host Service

In this illuminating case study, we delve into the innovative utilization of Z.com Cloud Enterprise's Dedicated Host Service by a forward-thinking software development company. By seamlessly blending the capabilities of Dedicated Host with the deployment of Virtual Machines (VMs) on the public cloud, this company achieved a remarkable semi-private cloud setup within their network environment. This hybrid approach ingeniously combined the cost-efficiency and high IT resources of a Dedicated Host with the expansive flexibility of the public cloud. The outcome? A transformative environment where in-house developers could create an 'unlimited' number of VMs, resulting in a significantly more efficient and innovative system development process.

Crafting a Hybrid Cloud Ecosystem

The software development company's strategic move involved configuring multiple virtual VLANs. These VLANs were instrumental in segmenting the network environment based on individual projects undertaken by their developers. This intelligent segregation ensured that each project enjoyed its own dedicated space, fostering collaboration and resource optimization.

The Power of Autobackup Services

Recognizing the paramount importance of data security and code preservation, the company leveraged Z.com Cloud Enterprise's autobackup service. Daily snapshots of VMs with a retention period were configured, offering a robust safety net for their valuable codebase. With this automated safeguard in place, any code deployed by their software engineers was automatically saved. This proactive approach not only protected against unexpected data loss but also streamlined the development workflow by providing quick solutions in case of any coding mishaps.

The Unified Cloud Experience

This distinctive fusion of private and public cloud infrastructure guaranteed more than just the physical ownership of IT resources. It seamlessly harmonized the economic efficiency of ownership with the adaptability and scalability of cloud services. As a result, the software development company gained unparalleled control over their environment, experienced optimal performance, and achieved significant cost savings.

In conclusion

this case study serves as a testament to the transformative power of Z.com Cloud Enterprise's Dedicated Host Service. By cleverly configuring virtual VLANs and embracing autobackup services, the software development company not only enhanced the efficiency of their system development but also fortified their data security practices. This unified cloud experience has become a beacon of innovation, empowering them to stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of software development.
